A National Communications Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah, has urged law enforcement agencies to swiftly arrest Prophet Nigel Gaisie and Captain Smart.

Gyewu-Appiah contends that both individuals disseminated falsehoods regarding the death of a late Member of Parliament and Former Deputy Health Minister.

According to him, Prophet Nigel Gaisie and Captain Smart misled the public by fabricating stories about the circumstances surrounding the MP’s demise.

He said, Nigel Gaisie exploited privileged information about the late minister’s health, obtained from the family, for personal gain. He claimed that Gaisie, despite being a friend of the deceased minister’s family, exploited their trust by prophesying the MP’s death in December 2023.

Moreover, Gyewu-Appiah pointed to an autopsy report refuting Captain Smart’s claims that the late Lawyer John Kumah was poisoned. The report revealed that Kumah was battling multiple myeloma, contradicting Smart’s assertions.

These statements were made during Gyewu-Appiah’s appearance on the Angel Morning Show, where he discussed matters related to the MP’s passing. He insisted that both Nigel Gaisie and Captain Smart should face legal consequences for deceiving the public.

Gyewu-Appiah emphasized the need for urgent action, stating, “Nigel Gaisie needs to be arrested. The late minister’s wife has spoken, and she demands that Captain Smart be arrested to answer for his baseless allegations of poisoning.” He further highlighted the wife’s assertion that “Awoyo Sofo Nigel Gaisie was a friend of John Kumah and had prior knowledge of the ailing health of the late minister but chose to make false prophecies regarding the circumstances of his death.”
