A New Patriotic Party’s Communications Team Member, Ellen Ama Daaku, has disclosed how she ended up becoming a third-choice girlfriend to her ex-lover.
The vibrant political commentator noted that at a point in her life, she accepted being part of a polygamous man due to her strong affection for him without hesitation.
Madam Daaku speaking to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on Monday, March 25, 2024, said “Do you know what a man I once met in my life told me? He said, I [him] have two girlfriends so would you agree to be third, without hesitation, I said yes to him and became the third girlfriend.”
According to the politician, with time in the relationship she managed to take over from her rivals becoming the main girlfriend of the man in question after she succeeded in sending them away.
“But when I felt I was tired of the relationship, I quickly packed out from the man’s house and ended our ties,” Ellen Ama Daaku stated.
Madam Daaku made the revelations following her suggestion on the Angel Morning Show on the need to educate Ghanaians on the choice of marriage type before committing their future amid finding a lasting solution to the growing issues of infidelity among married couples in the country.
If you can’t stay with one woman, go for traditional marriage – NPP’s Ama Daaku advises men
She further schooled that self-orientation on the marriage type should be prioritised by all and sundry to offer an overview of what lies ahead between couples.
“I for instance, if I am married to you under ordinance marriage and I later realize that you are seeing my fellow woman outside our home, I will not give you room to operate but rather any help I have offered you being it monetary or any other material support, I will demand it because our money is not meant for infidelity practice.
However, if I am preview that you [ the man or my husband] can marry another woman knowing that our marriage type is the customary marriage I will not have any grudges against him once he decides to marry again rather, I will not hesitate to support him on.”
She stressed and advised Ghanaian men who cannot simply stay with one woman to go for traditional marriage also known as customary marriage for peace in their homes as well as ending issues of disappointment.
“If you are a man and you cannot be faithful to one partner, my brother do not go and commit your life to any ordinance marriage, go for traditional marriage,” she emphasised.
