A yet-to-be-identified man has died after a tree fell on a car he was travelling in.
The incident happened late afternoon on Thursday, June 18, during a downpour which was accompanied by strong winds in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
Many people around were thrown a state of shock and mourning.
According to reports, the driver parked his car in front of Asanteman Senior High School to buy fuel while the passenger was waiting in the car when the tree crushed onto it.
Personnel from the Fire and Police services, came to the scene to retrieve the body.
Police have commenced investigations into the matter.
The vehicle was then towed from the scene by police to allow free flow of traffic.
