Heavy security, free flat screen TV for delegates at Kwadaso NPP primary

There is heavy security in the Kwadaso constituency of the Ashanti Region, where the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding election to select a parliamentary candidate ahead of the December elections.

About 95 police personnel and 32 military armed to the teeth, have been deployed to the constituency, Angel News correspondent, Osei Kwadwo reported Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

Their presence is to ensure the process proceeds smoothly in the midst of the tensed atmosphere characterising the polls there.

Kwadaso NPP primariesThree individuals -Dr Kingsley Nyarko who is the Executive Secretary for National Accreditation Board, Dr S.K Nuamah the incumbent Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency and Vincent Frimpong Manu, the Deputy CEO of Middle Belt Development Authority- are gunning for the sole slot to lead the party in the constituency. Kwadaso NPP primaries

Meanwhile, our correspondent reports that one of the aspirants, Vincent Frimpong Manu, allegedly gifted 300 members of the party, who are polling station executives, a 32-inch flat screen television set each, to get them to vote for him.

The recipients are among the 309 delegates voting in the selection process.
