COP Kofi Boakye heads police prosecution in latest Police shake-up

The Head of Research and Planning in the Ghana Police Service, COP Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye has been moved to head the Legal and Prosecution Department of the Police Service in a new Police shake-up.

Five other regional commanders have also been transferred from to head other units in the service.

The new announcement was contained in a post on the facebook wall of the Ghana Police Service.

Below is the full list of transfers:

Changes in Command Positions.
Changes have been made in the positions of the Police Management Board and some regional commanders as follows:
•COP Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye is now the Director-General for Legal and Prosecutions.
•COP Mr. Paul Manly Awini is now the Director-General for Research, Planning and Transformation.
•DCOP Mr. Johnson Oyirifi-Akrofi is now the Eastern Police Regional Commander.
•DCOP Mr. Frederick Adu-Anim is now the Director-General for Information, Communication Technology (ICT).
•DCOP Mr. Paul Ayittey is now the North East Police Regional Commander.
•DCOP Barima Tweneboah Sasraku II is now the Tema Police Regional Commander.
•DCOP Mr. Afful Boakye-Yiadom is now the Accra Police Regional Commander.
•DCOP Mr. Charles Domanban is now Oti Police Regional Commander.
•DCOP Mrs. Habiba Akyere Twumasi -Sarpong is now the Central Police Regional Commander.
