Sarkodie hints at contesting 2024 presidential election

Ghanaian Rapper Micheal Owusu Addo known in the showbiz industry as Sarkodie, has disclosed his intentions to contest the presidential race in 2024.

In a facebook post on Thursda, jJuly 23,2020, he wrote ”Presidential Candidate 2024 anaa mo se?”.

Staying focus 

Few minutes after the post, many fans of  the celebrated artiste shared their views.

While some believe he will be a good president, others advised him to focus on his music career.

One of them, Saviola Chris, advised Sarkodie to focus on his career and talent than involving himself in politics.

”Please don’t break our hearts. Politics is not meant for you. There are more talents like yourself who need to be discovered.

“Set up a platform to discover these talents and cause the needful impact you want to make. Please open up for young talents to realise their full potentials.

“That way, you will continue to remain the legend you have always been,” he wrote.

The rapper’s contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for Artiste of the Decade. He was announced the first winner of BET’s Best International Flow act at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.

He is also considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance.
