Fabewoso: Revamp Pomadze Poultry factory now – Assemblyman tells Akufo-Addo

The Assemblyman of Ankaful, Hon George Amafo has expressed worry over the bad state of the Pomadze Factory.

Speaking on the Fabewoso segment of ‘Anopa Bofo)’ Angel FM’s Morning Show, the Assemblyman said the defunct factory has now become a hub of thieves and several reptiles.

According to him, he has petitioned the Assembly and several other government agencies to help revamp the factory which employed many in the area to no avail.

“CCMA came to survey the site, and even Ekumfi Juice Factory showed interest to rehabilitate it as one of their Juice factories but all to no avail,” he said.

To him, revamping the factory is of utmost importance to the people of Pomadze as it would help decrease the unemployment rate in the area.

“We had hopes that the factory will be revamped to at least reduce the unemployment rate and provide work for the youth but nothing has been done about it yet,” he said.

The Pomadze Poultry Factory was established in 1965 for the commercial production of layers, broilers and day old chicks for local poultry farms.
