COVID-19: Ghana’s death toll hits 199

The total number of persons who have died from the COVID-19 disease in Ghana have risen to 199.

According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the country recorded Eight more COVID-19 related fatalities on August 2, 2020.

“A total of 574 new cases were reported on August 2, 2020. These are samples that were taken from the period 23 June to 1 August 2020… from the lab on August 2,” the GHS said.

Also, out of the national cases 35, 563 have recovered leaving the active cases at 3, 313.
