A 16-year-old Form 2 student of Osei Kyeretwie Senior High school (OKESS), whose name was given as Kwaku Prince has committed suicide at Asonomanso in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to report, Kwaku Prince was caught by his mother gambling with his friends on Tuesday.
The Asonomaso Unit Committee Chairman, Owusu Barfour Collins who narrated the incident to Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo said the mother of the deceased threatened to report him to police if he continues with such act, but Kwaku Prince wasn’t happy about the decision, which resulted in a misunderstanding between them.
According to him, the boy was found dead, hanging at the back of their house, suspecting that he took his life he was not allowed to gamble.
The police have since taken the body to morgue as investigations commence into the matter.
