Covid-19: Adonko Company supports Effia Nkwanta Hospital

The Management of Adonko Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Angel Group of Companies, has donated items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in the Western Region.

The company donated 2,000 pieces of nose masks, 960 bottles original Adonko hand sanitizer and 120 cans of Adonko next level energy drink to the facility.

20 boxes of Adonko Original Hand sanitizers, 1,000 pieces of nose masks, 120 rolls of tissue towels and five cartons of Adonko Next Level energy drink to the facility.

At a short ceremony held at the premises of the Hospital, the Director for Special Project at the Adonko Company Limited, Asamoah Gyamfi, said the gesture is his outfit’s contribution towards the fight against the pandemic.

He explained that, the fight against Covid-19 is dear to the Adonko Group hence their resolve to get involved.

“The fight against Covid-19 is something that is at the heart of Dr. Kwaku Oteng and it is as a result of this that he has spent over 10 billion old cedis (2 billion for the northern zone and 8 billion for the southern zone to help the fight,” he said.

Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital serves as the main Covid-19 isolation and treatment center for COVID-19 in the Western Region.

Head of Pharmacy at the hospital, Kwadwo O. Apenteng who received the items thanked the Adonko company especially Dr. Kwaku Oteng for the gesture and promised to put the items to good use.

He said the donation will go a long way to help the hospital which serves the region which is currently the third highest in the country with 2,804 reported cases in the disease.
