Foreign Affairs Minister extols Danish Ambassador for distinguishing work done

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, has commended the Danish Ambassador to Ghana for her highly distinguished work in Ghana which has further enhanced the fruitful relations between the two countries.

According to the minister, “a number of MoUs and agreements were signed including a letter of Intent between Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) and Bluetown Aps; Base of Pyramid Partnership Agreement between Novo Nordisk Pharma Gulf FZ-LLC and the National Catholic Secretariat, Health Directorate (National Catholic Health Service)” under the leadership of the ambassador, H.E. MS. Tove Degnbol.

Her comments come during a farewell call by the Danish Ambassador on her office on Friday, August 21, 2020.

Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey noted that, MS. Tove Degnbol facilitated the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and Grundfos Holdings A/S (Grundfos Ghana ltd) in a bid to help Ghana meet the SDG goal of achieving universal access to water by 2030.

According to her, the ambassador was instrumental in the signing of the MoU between Ghana National Red Cross Commission and APM Terminals and Amend, an African road safety specialist.

While wishing the ambassador well in future ventures, Madam Ayorkor Botchwey affirmed Ghana’s commitment to promoting friendly and cooperative relations with Denmark.

She encouraged MS. Tove Degnbol to continue to be a close friend of Ghana and further support the enhancement of the relationship between the two countries.
