Following their numerous activities during these difficult times, the Ghana Rugby Football Union has been tipped by many as one of the leading Federations supporting the Ghanaian government in the fight against the deadly disease.

The Federation has been donating personal protective equipment and essential vitamins to the Rugby fraternity and some Ghanaian communities to help mitigate the impact of the virus and also embarking on awareness campaign aimed at educating Ghanaians on the need to practice the Coronavirus safety protocols.

They have also conducted the Coronavirus tests over 150 times with 12 people testing positive. This makes them the only sports federation to carry out the highest number of Coronavirus tests on its members.

In an interview, Mr. Herbert Mensah said, “the Ghana Rugby Football Union wouldn’t have achieved this mark without the support of the sponsors”, hence expressing the Federation’s appreciation for gestures of their sponsors.
