Andy of TV3 mentor fame, Andy Odakey has disclosed that he was not part of  Samini’s Highgrade Family record label.

Andy who was responding to a question on Angel Drive on why he hasn’t been able to make it as a musician since he was part of Samini’s record label said he wasn’t part of the record label.

He added it was DJ Perfect who doubles as Samini’s personal DJ who introduced him to Samini.

He further explained that Pepsi was the one managing him so whenever Samini was going to perform, he took him along and moreover areeba was then sponsoring Mentor 1 so when MTN took over from areeba, his contract was still intact and they were also working with Samini so he will automatically became part of it.

“For me it was DJ Perfect who introduced me to Samini because he was his personal DJ so anytime Samini was going to perform, he took me along. And if you could recall, Areeba was then sponsoring Mentor 1 so when MTN took over my contract was still there. Aside that they were also working with Samini so I became part of them. So Samini was just a brother but I was under a different record label therefore Samini can’t sign me to his record label,” he said.

The ‘Sweetie’ hit maker is out with a new single dubbed ‘Cold War’ though he said his album is ready but he can’t release it now.
