26-year-old poultry farmer wins Miss Agriculture Ghana 2020

A 26 year old poultry farmer, Perfect Liz Naa Sackitey, has been crowned Miss Agriculture Ghana 2020 after winning this year’s edition of the Agric pageant.

The young farmer, who operates in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region, emerged as the judges first choice after beating competition from four other finalists.

The Grande Finale of this year’s edition of the Miss Agriculture Ghana pageant took place at the Accra Central View Hotel – ICU Conference Hall – on Friday, September 18, 2020.

The contestants, numbering five, took turns to explain their intended Agricultural projects to the panel of judges who monitored their performances keenly.

The competitors were further asked questions on their projects as they battled each other to impress the judges with their ideas and exhibitions.

The six panel of judges was made up of representatives from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Chamber of Women in Agribusiness Ghana among other entrepreneurs.

Mr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku was the chief judge with support from Mr. Alistair Djimatey (Blueskies Ghana), Madam Pamela of Pamela Chicks and Feeds, Madam Akushika (Yesli ice), Madam Paulina Addy (MoFA) and Madam Theresa Aniagyei-Bonsu -Founder, Chamber of Women in Agribusiness Ghana.

While Naliz as she is popularly called took home the crown, Patience Okpati, a snail farmer and Leticia Maame Nuamah, a Nutritionist, came in as the first and second runners-up respectively.
