Crashed Offinso juvenile footballers buried

Four juveniles footballers who lost their lives in a road crash at Offinso in the Ashanti region, have been laid to rest amidst wailing on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

Eight (8) of the colts footballers died Saturday, September 19,  when their vehicle crashed into the River Offin killing six on the spot. Two of them died later while receiving treatment at the hospital.

They were returning from Afrancho after undergoing successful Colts division registration when the incident occurred.

The incident which occurred on the Kumasi-Tachiman stretch at about 3:30 pm Saturday, has also left four persons in critical condition who are currently receiving intensive medical care at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

The deceased are Ofori Amanfo Ramzy, Boakye Samuel Boakye, Antwi Richmond, Arthur Edward, Kwame Poku, Jamil Abdullah, Alex Agyemang and Hubert Anaba.

Four of the deceased were buried after the accident due to their condition while the rest were laid to rest today at the Offinso Chief Palace grounds.

Family of the deceased and Offinso Traditional leaders performed rituals to pave way for their burial.
