Former playmaker of continental club masters Accra Hearts of Oak, Torric Djibril says he has been idolizing Argentine and Barcelona great Lionel Messi from childhood.

The 29-year-old who just completed a fascinating move to the Saudi premier League side El Arab FC from TP Mazembe, disclosed that Messi has been his cult hero since his journey in the sport.

Djibril who many labeled as the Ghanaian Messi following his dribbling prowess that looks similar to the Barcelona legend told Saddick Adams on Angel FM how he managed to earn the nickname”Messi Messi” since he looked up to the Argentine when growing up as a footballer.

“People compare my style of play to Messi. When I was a teenager, I looked up to Messi.”

“Currently, I am focusing on getting better everyday both on and off the pitch. I am coming up with my clothing line up soon,” he noted.
