Police Inspector declared missing at Asuboi

A police inspector, Charles Adamu who went to Asuboi in the Eastern region to inspect his parcel of land has been declared missing.

Inspr. Adamu, aged 50, is reported to have left home in Accra on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in the morning to Asuboi,

A police report said the missing police officer’s wife reported to the Madina Police Divisional Headquarters, Accra that Inspr. Adamu “left home on 28/10/2020 at about 1030 hours to Asuboi with service vehicle No. GP 144 to  visit his parcel of land but did not return home.”

The police were later informed on Thursday that his vehicle had been parked alongside the main Accra-Kumasi Highway where his land is situated.

“On receipt of the complaint, a team of investigators and Suhum police day patrol team quickly proceeded to the scene where the vehicle was found parked with the ignition key fixed in without the said named police officer,” the police said.

A search party consisting of police and volunteers from Asuboi and Mankrong was organised and a thorough search was carried out in  the area “but the officer could not be traced”.

The service vehicle  has since been driven to the Suhum Police station for safe keeping whilst the search continues.
