Two more persons die of COVID-19 in Ghana

Two more persons have died of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in the country.

An update from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) said as of Wednesday November 11, 2020, the number of active cases have dropped by 43.

This brings the total number of active cases from 1,519 as reported on Friday, November 13 to 1,473.

The number of persons discharged or recovered from the infection has also increased to 48,328.

According to the update four regions, North East, Savannah, Oti and Upper West have no cases of the disease, while the Greater Accra leads with 1,198 cases.

Out of 56,123 tests conducted on international travellers, 190 persons have tested positive.

The update also reported that 4 persons are in critical condition while 12 are in severe conditions.

The total number of confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases recorded in Ghana since the disease was first recorded on March 12, 2020 is now 50,123.
