An articulated truck with registration number, AS 9991 P has knocked and killed a 5-year-old girl only identified as Aisha at Assin Fosu in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region.
Information gathered by Angel FM/TV reporter, Kwame Owusu Asante Shadrack indicates that the deceased was sent to buy charcoal at a nearby charcoal vendor but was knocked down by the vehicle.
The vehicle run over her head causing her to die on the spot. The investigations also revealed that the suspect is a driver’s mate with no license.
Confirming the news to Shadrack, Sergeant Ben Doe-Kuwornu of the Assim Fosu Divisional MTTD said the body of the deceased has been deposited at St. Francis Xavier Hospital Morgue for preservation whiles the suspect, Abu is in the police custody assisting investigation. 3
