Man stabbed to death during fight over GHC 200

A 32-year-old man, Kofi Nyamekye has been stabbed to death by a Jackpot owner at Pakyi No 1 in the Ashanti Region over an amount of GHC 200 which he allegedly won in a jackpot.

According to the wife of the deceased, Maame Serwaa, her late husband was stabbed in the neck by one Isaac, also known as Mystical over the said amount which he allegedly won after staking a Chinese jackpot which the latter operated.

The mother of three narrated in an interview with the media that her late husband won the jackpot but the suspected murdered who is now on the run refused to give the said amount to him resulting in a fight.

“This result in a fight, Mystical tried to cut my late husband with a knife but he succeeded in over-powering him and tried to flee the scene. Whiles on his way, he called him, when he turned back, he slit his throat leading him to bleed to death…,” he narrated.

Mystical after noticing that that Kofi Nyamekye was bleeding to death fled the scene and has since not been seen.

The lifeless body of Kofi Nyamekye was covered by onlookers who later assisted the Police in conveying the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for preservation.

The Widow has appealed to the general public to help find the murderer of her deceased husband.
