Ghana progressed to the finals of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations after beating Gambia 1-0 in the semifinals.

Ghana showed early signs after Percious Boah saw his free kick missing the goal narrowly.

Abdul Fatawu Ishahaku then forced Gambia goalkeeper Lamin Saidy to pull  a save from a well-dispatched free kick.

Gambia on the other hand got their fair share of possession creating few decent chances.

Boah however gave the Black Satellites the lead in the 34th minute with a well struck free kick from the edge of the box to increase his goal tally in the competition to 3.

Ghana kept their composure in the second half despite the numerous threats from Gambia who came close to score on few occasions.

The Black Satellites will now face the winner between Tunisia and Uganda in the finals on Sunday.

Coach Karim Zito’s side thus make their sixth finals with a chance to win the competition for the fourth time and the first since 2009.
