A taxi driver is in a critical condition after armed robbers shot him on the Subinso-Nchiraa road in the Wenchi Municipality.
Two persons sustained various degrees of injuries and are currently on admission at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
A 25-year-old nurse, Erica Adufa died instantly in the robbery attack.
The Opel Astra Taxi with registration number GW 4850 X which was enroute to Nchiraa from Subinso II was attacked by the armed robbers.
One of the victims of the robbery attack, Ofosu Nuamah, a 50-year-old mason said the incident occurred on Saturday evening between 7pm and 8 pm.
According to him, the robbers rushed on them and started firing shots on them unprovoked.
Medical Director at Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Dr. Oman narrated that the victims numbering four in number were rushed in with one in a critical condition one. That person has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Another person, he said was brought in dead.
No arrest have been made so far.
