The Abuakwa Divisional Police Command in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region has arrested Atta Michael for allegedly killing his wedded wife, Ama Boatemah at Atwima Agogo after just six months of marriage.
He allegedly dumped the body of the deceased in the bush in the area after the heinous crime.
Mother of the deceased, Madam Rose Anima who confirmed the unfortunate incident to Bismark Mensah of Angel TV/ FM said the family was informed by a group of young men who had embarked on a search for Ama that they found her dead body in the bush.
She said the deceased, Ama Boatemah left her marital home last Monday and the husband could not inform either the police or the parents of the deceased until yesterday.
“I vehemently suspect Michael (husband) of killing my daughter, because after exactly a week they got married, Ama came and complained to me that she was severely beaten by Mic which led to her losing her first pregnancy. He had been beaten Ama on several occasions that’s why I suspect him of been responsible for my daughter’s death,” Anima added.
The almost- decomposed body of the deceased has been deposited at the Afari Community Hospital Morgue.
