The man who was shot by some armed men at Amanful East, a suburb of Takoradi in the Western Region have been reported dead.
The man his wife were robbed at gunpoint by suspected armed robbers at Takoradi in the afternoon of Monday, April 12, 2021 in what has been described as daylight robbery.
According to sources, the man and the wife had gone to the bank to withdraw some money but they were being trailed by the suspected robbers as the couple drove in their private vehicle from the bank premises.
Upon reaching Amanful East, a suburb of Takoradi the victims realized that they were being followed by the robbers numbering four on two motorbikes so they parked their private car.
The man and his wife were shortly attacked by the robbers in their vehicle. He was shot at close range and was rushed to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
