GPL Review: Kotoko sink Dreams as Olympics grab late win

Match Day 23 of the Ghana Premier League kicked off on Friday as Munasiru strike a last minute goal to give Olympics an away win in Sogakope.

Gladson Awako converted a freekick to put Olympics in the lead on the 14th minutes as the first half of the game ended 1-0.
An own goal from Konadu Yiadom doubled the scoreline for the visitors on the 60th minutes.

WAFA came from behind to cancel Olympics 2-0 lead kind courtesy Enoch Asubonteng and Justus Torsutsey 70th and 77th minutes goals to make it 2-2 draw.
But Abdul Munasiru grabbed a late winner for the Dade boys to record a massive 3-2 away win.

On Saturday, Asante Kotoko continued their fine form after recording a win over Dreams FC at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi.

The Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down to beat the Dawu lads 3-1 after Agyenim Boateng scored the opener from a spot  to put the away team in front. Kotoko cancelled the lead from a Micheal Vinicius header.
On the 57th minutes, Andy Kumi was pushed down in the box in his attempt to connect with Emmanuel Gyamfi’s cross as Abdul Ganiyu doubled the lead for the host from the penalty spot.
Francis Andy Kumi added the third goal on the 78th minutes to sink Dreams as they go top of the league log.

Kojo Obeng Junior and Afriyie Barnieh fired Hearts of Oak to victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Phobians were held to a goalless draw at the first half of the game by King Faisal  as Danlad Ibrahim made significant saves to deny the home side from scoring.

Hearts of Oak kept pressuring the away side until Kojo Obeng Junior broke the deadlock with a simple tap from a close range on the 57th minutes to put the Rainbow team ahead.

The host scored again from a counter attack after Afriyie Barnieh put the ball at the back of the net from Patrick Razak pass to make it 2-0 win over the ‘Babies’.

Karela United gets first win in five consecutive games after beating Bechem United in Anyinase.
Diawusie Taylor and Reginald Thompson helped the Nzema boys record a 2-1 victory over the away side as Kofi Agbesimah pulled one back for the visitors.
