Head Coach for senior national team, Charles Kwablan Akonnor has announced a 30 – man squad earlier today at the Conference Hall of the Ghana Football Association in Accra.
The likes of Razak Abalora (Kotoko), Danlad Ibrahim(King Faisal), Rashid Nortey (Medeama), Gladson Awako (Great Olympics) and Joseph Adjei (Legon Cities), Ganiyu (Asante Kotoko), as six (6) local players made the shortlist.
The Black Stars will play two friendly games against Morocco in Rabat which comes off on Tuesday June 8, and face Ivory Coast on Saturday June 12, 2021 at the Cape Coast Stadium for the second game.
The friendly games comes to replace the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers which were postponed last week.
In view of that, CK Akonnor will use the friendly games to assess the team ahead of the qualifiers.
