Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North Constituency, Theresa Lardi Awuni, has made in-kind donations to mosques located in her constituency.
The gifts include 100 bags of rice, cartons of canned mackerels, tomatoes and bottled cooking oils among others.
According to some constituents who gathered at one of the Mosques where the distribution was being done, the gesture is unprecedented and overwhelming.
“This has never happened before in the history of Okaikwei North Constituency for the entire leadership of Muslims and Chiefs to congregate at Mallam Ali’s Mosque for a donation of this magnitude,” one of the constituents said.
Theresa Lardi Awuni also paid visits to widows in the constituency and made similar donations to them.
