A woman aged 52 has died after suffering an attack from a wild antelope at Dambai in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region.

The deceased, Bejome Jacha, reportedly went to farm to pick mangoes but was met with the antelope which headbutted her into a thorny bush, causing injuries to her abdomen.

However, some farmers nearby who heard her cry for help came to her rescue and rushed her to Kopah Clinic in the same community where she received first aid before her transfer to Worawora Government Hospital for treatment, according to Angel FM’s reporter, Mubarak Yakubu.

Due to the seriousness of the injrury caused to her abdomen, the Hospital authorities referred her to the Hohoe Municipal Hospital where she was on admission receiving treatment until she passed.
