Court to rule on Achimota Rasta students case today

The Human Rights Court will this morning give its judgement on the two Rastafarian students who were denied admission by the Achimota School because of their dreadlocks.

Authorities of the school had explained that the students will not be allowed to study in the school if they fail to cut their dreadlocks.

Wearing dreadlocks, the Board of the school had argued is against the code of conduct and ethics of the prestigious school.

The two young men are Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabeah and Tyrone Marghuy.

The two Rastafarian students are in court praying the court for the enforcement of their rights to education;  the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service and the Attorney General were joined in the suit.
