The Assin Atintan community near Assin Breku in the Assin North District of the Central Region was thrown into a state of shock when the mutilated body of a 67-year-old farmer was found buried in two shallow graves in the town.

Maame Esi Dokua, according to Angel News’ Kwame Asante Shadrack was accosted by the murderers when she went to farm for some foodstuffs.

According to him, the deceased had left home on Sunday, 15th August, 2021 in the morning around 9:30 am to her farm at Assin Atintan near Assin Breku but did not return after several hours.

This caused the family to inform the chiefs and opinion leaders at Assin Breku who in turn formed a search party to look for her.

The party after more than four hours of search found the lifeless body of the deceased buried in a shallow grave with her head decapitated. The womb and the intestines had also been removed.

The body which had been divided into three had also been buried in separate graves. The head was missing.

The Acting Chief of Assin Breku, Nana Kotroka Frimpong Baah II, who doubles as the Acting Chief of Assin Breku speaking in an interview with Kwame Owusu Asante Shadrack revealed that this the third time in just a month that a crime of this nature has occurred.
