The Management of The Multimedia Group has threatened to sue Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennnedy Ohene Agyapong, his media house Net 2 TV and three (3) of his employees for defamation.

The media conglomerate signalled their intention to drag the Legislator and two other online publications to court in a press release issued on Tuesday.

Kennedy Agyapong have been fighting the media house which is headquartered in Kokomlemle in Accra for embarking on what he terms as ‘negative agenda’ against the Akufo-Addo government.

He had claimed that employees of the company had been published negative stories about the government just to settle personal scores. He also made several wild allegations against Erastus Asare Donkor of Kumasi-based Luv FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group over his reportage on the violent clashes that occurred at Ejura in the Ashanti Region.

The Assin Central MP in a series of comments claimed the alleged ‘skewed reports’ of the journalist contributed to the violent clashes.

But The Multimedia Group disagrees and has thus through their Lawyers threatened to sue the media owner, three of his employees and 2 online platforms for defaming them.

Below is a statement issued by the Multimedia Group:
