“We called the Fire Service when the fire began but the fire tenders took about four hours to respond to our call. They came after it was too late and I even helped to evacuate some of the patients so that they are not trapped. They [Fire Service] haven’t done well at all”, an eyewitness narrated the incident to Angel TV’s reporter, Bismark Mensah.Gary Marvin Hospital Fire

Prior to the arrival of the Fire Service, some of the hospital workers attempted to put out the fire with fire extinguishers but due to its intensity, they were unsuccessful.
