Management of Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has said it is not receiving applications for Postgraduate local scholarships (Masters and Doctorate programmes) for the 2021/2022 academic year.

This is according to a statement issued on September 17, 2021, to discredit information circulating on social media claiming that the GETFund has begun accepting applications for the postgraduate local scholarships.

“Our attention has been drawn to a false information circulating on social media space that the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is accepting application for Postgraduate local scholarships ( Masters and Ph.D programs) for the 2021/2022 academic year.

“We wish to notify the general public that GETFund has not commenced Postgraduates local scholarships (Masters and Ph.D programs) applications for the 2021/2022 academic year”, the communique read.

The Management therefore urged the public to disregard the falsehood.

Describing the circulation as fraudulent, it went on to stress that anybody who falls for the same does so at their own risk.
