Ohemaa Woyeje crowned best female radio host at 2021 Time Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards

Multi-talented radio presenter, Harry Adwoah Yeboah Asiamah known in the media circles as ‘Ohemaa Woyeje’, has been adjudged the best female radio host at this year’s Time Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards (TGAEA).

The colourful event was held over the weekend at the Miklin Hotel at East Legon in Accra. It is however the third edition organized since its inception, and was held under the theme, “Peace and Unity” with 47 categories for grabs by competitors.

Some of the categories include, Best News Anchor, Best Movie, Best Executive Producer of the Year, Face of TV Commercial, Discovery of the Year, Blogger of the Year, Man and Woman of the Year among others.

Arguably the best midmorning show host in the country, Ohemaa Woyeje, hosts ‘Yadwuma Nie’ on Accra-based Angel FM, and has once again proven her prowess amongst her peers to win the ‘Best Female Radio Host’ category.

She beat off competition from Sokoo Hemaa [Rainbow Radio], Melvina Frimpong-Manso [Service Radio] and Dayan Aduhene Akosua Kwarteng [Sweet FM].

However, the multilingual presenter “Kum DJ” was also nominated in the entrepreneur of the year category.

Moments after receiving the award, the multiple award winner took to her official Facebook page and expressed gratitude for the recognition of her hard work and influence in the media and entertainment industry in Ghana.

“So many things to be thankful for I can’t be ungrateful No I can’t. Mother Nature, I bow” Ohemaa Woyeje wrote.

Similarly, management of the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) in Accra congratulated their sensational employee on its social media page for adding another award to her name and the brand.

Ohemaa Woyeje, who started her media career in 2003 with Nkosuo Radio in Kumasi had also worked for Sky FM (Sunyani), Zuria FM (Kumasi), Top Radio (Accra) and Adom FM (Accra).

TGAEA is an award scheme designed to reward hardworking actors and entertainers in the country. The idea behind this award scheme is to bring together all actors and entertainers and also promote healthy relationships amongst themselves.
