Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially announced the signing of midfield dynamo, Richard Boadu from Tarkwa-based premier league side, Medeama SC.

He joins the porcupine warriors on a three-year contract with an undisclosed fee.

Announcing the arrival of the 23-year-old midfielder on its official Twitter page, Asante Kotoko expressed its excitement in securing the signature of the player the fans requested for.

“You asked, we heard, he’s here…We are delighted to announce the signing of midfield enforcer Richard Boadu on a three-year deal from Medeama SC.”

Apparently, compatriot, Samuel Appiah has also joined the fabulous family from Medeama on a three-year deal.

He’s expected to use his experience in local game to boost the defensive line of coach Prosper Nartey’s when the new Ghana premier league season starts.

Again, the reds took the opportunity to confirm the arrival of two youngsters from the lower divisions who have been added to the signing list of the team ahead of the upcoming season.

18-year-old Isaac Oppong, famously known as “Sunyani Neymar” joined from Sunyani-based Division two side, Bectero Sassana FC on a 4-year loan deal.

Whilst, 17-year-old defender Augustine Agyapong has signed on a 4-year deal from lower tier outfit Delsanco FC.

This makes the eighth signing for the Kumasi-based side, prior to the new season expected to start in late October.

The Porcupine Warriors will open their 2021/22 Ghana Premier league campaign against Dreams FC in Dawu.
