Minister for Trade and Industries, Alan Kojo Kyeremateng, has urged New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) leadership to uphold the peace and unity which have been the backbone of the party’s successes in their upcoming deliberations.

According to the Minister, the NPP has over the years remained relevant in the country’s development because of the unity they have exhibited amid their individual standpoints on issues brought before it.

He made the statement when he was advising officials who would be meeting at the regional delegates conference scheduled for today October 1, 2021 at different venues due to covid-19, to plan for the party’s future.

Alan said: “No matter where we find ourselves, l urge members to hold paramount the unity and well-being of the party in their deliberations.

“Our continued relevance in the affairs of the state depends on the cohesiveness of our party as a people of independent thought and free will.

“I pray that we come out of our conferences re-energized and united in our bid to ‘break the 8’ and keep Ghana on the path of “Development in Freedom”, in adherence to the motto of our great party.”

Not forgetting the pandemic which has impacted all aspects of human life, the Minister urged the members to observe the protocols of “masking up, sanitizing and washing of hands and social distancing.”
