Federations of International Football Association (FIFA) has approved Ghana’s request to admit 4,000 spectators into stadium to watch the Black Stars of Ghana vs Zimbabwe world cup qualifier match which comes off on October 9, 2021 at 1600GMT.

The decision was arrived at after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) held a successful discussion with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The approval is an appreciation of the 2,250 spectators FIFA had allowed for last month’s opener against Ethiopia.

The limitations set, though raised to 4,000 on the spectatorship, was aimed at controlling transmission of the covid-19 virus among the peoples.

As a result, the GFA has asked all and sundry who will be at the stadium to watch the match to be adhesive to all the Covid-19 safety protocols, to avoid any sanctions from the world football governing body.

Meanwhile, Security Officers of the GFA say they will collaborate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Authority, and the COVID-19 management team to ensure the protocols are observed.
