A Christian sect leader, Nigel Gaisie, has disclosed that President Akufo-Addo’s misnaming of Member of Parliament (MP) hopeful for the Odododiodio Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during his last campaign was orchestrated by the former.

According to the Prophetic Hill Chapel founder, he had invoked the powers of the supernatural forces to show signs of the loser in the December 7, 2020 elections.

He said one of the things he sought to see happen was blunders the two Presidential Candidates then, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP and John Dramani Mahama of National Democratic Congress (NDC), will make.

If it will be recalled, President Akufo-Addo (then candidate on the ticket of the NPP) in the Odododiodio Constituency in the Greater Accra Region for his last campaign, introduced Nii Lante Vanderpuye (NDC member) instead of Nii Lante Bannerman (NPP member) which made waves with the “ma nka nu yie koraa” statement, which is translated, “I didn’t say it well at all”.

Nana Akufo-Addo said to the constituents “in Odododiodio, if you are voting for me, then you are also voting for Nii Lante Vanderpuye”, but having been notified of the mistake he had made, quickly added “I didn’t speak well at all. I have made a mistake. What am I going to do with Nii Lante Vanderpuye? I meant Nii Lante Bannerman and I want you all to vote for him”.

This mistake by the President, in addition to similar errors, the prophet said on October 18, 2021 on the Anopa Bofoↄ morning show with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani that he caused.

“I spoke with the Korle [Lagoon] because God had ordained me, that if Nana Akufo-Addo or John Mahama will win, that day they should make mistake on the podium.

“So they started calling him ex-president. So, it was spiritual. When he was going to introduce the NPP MP and he introduced the NDC MP it was spiritual”, said leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel.

Battle for the seat of government has been keenly contested between the two major political parties since the establishment of the fourth republic.

However, that struggle apparently goes beyond the physical and the two parties to involve prophets.

In his further submissions, Nigel indicated that they had gone to perform some rituals at the venue for the campaign but was negated by the Glorious Word Power Ministries International founder.

“On the eve of that day [campaign in the Odododiodio Constituency] me and my men had gone to do things there, but Reverend Owusu Bempah was able to counter it all.”

He attributed his failure to achieve results in the conjurations to his lack of resources, which were at the disposal of his counterpart, Owusu Bempah who was aligned to the NPP.

“Don’t forget that they are in power. They have more resources than I have” he said.
