An Accra Circuit Court has remanded Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr known in the entertainment industry as ‘Shatta Wale’, and his two other accomplices into police custody for a week.

The three were remanded by the Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021 on their first appearance in court.

The musician pleaded not guilty to the charge of publication of false news and causing fear and panic.

Also, his accomplices, Eric Venator, Idris Yusif, and Kojo Owusu Koranteng, who were arrested on Wednesday have also been charged for abetment of crime are also to spend the next one week in police custody.

Meanwhile, they also pleaded not guilty to the charge levelled against them.

Shatta Wale and his accomplices are expected to reappear in court on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

However, the ‘I know my level’ hit-maker and his crew members have already spent two nights in police custody.
