The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada Constituency has launched an entrepreneurship program for the youth in Ada in a bid to reduce the massive unemployment challenges bedeviling the nation.

The MP, Comfort Doyoe, encouraged abled men and women in Ada to venture into entrepreneurship programmes such as sewing, hairdressing and driving which she believes would minimise the impact of unemployment.

All you have to do is choose any venture and I will assist you with the needed finance to start up, if you choose to lend a trade too I am willing to help you with seed money on commencement and during graduation.

She noted that following the directive from the Finance Minister, Ken Offori Atta, that the youth should embrace entrepreneurship, she is willing to support the youth in the constituency in that regard.

According to ABN’s reporter, Augustine Ahiabor, Madam Doyoe stated that once the youth are gainfully employed, violence and crime rates will reduce.

She further said that, the youth won’t be seen anywhere idle when they have a job of their own since their energies would be channeled into useful activities.

The Ada MP also promised to lend a helping hand to market women as they ply their trade.

She added that, she is going to invest in the farming and fishing sectors since they are the major occupations in Ada and that would boost their capacities to serve Greater Accra Region and Ghana at large.
