All container shops situated around electricity poles in the Dome Kwabenya community and the Ga East Municipality at large, are to be removed by November 16, 2021.
The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Director for Ga East Municipal Assembly, Seth Kofi Osei-Kissi, gave the directive in an interview with Angelonline.com.gh on Friday November 12, 2021.
It was necessitated by the springing up of small shops including pubs around the poles.
According to Mr. Osei-Kissi, it is a dangerous act as raising structures around the electricity poles could lead to a fire outbreak causing destruction to lives and properties.
