The Ghana Police has arrested two suspected armed men in the Upper West Region who are alleged to have been involved in a robbery incident leading to the injury of two victims.

The suspects are Musdeen Issahaku and Alhassan Musah while one other Osman Seidu was shot dead at Poyentanga in the process of attacking some residents.

In a statement issued by the Police, it said the suspects, Musdeen Issahaku and Alhassan Musah were part of a gang of four on a robbery spree on Saturday dawn, November 13, 2021, in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region.

It noted that, Musdeen Issahaku is an ex-convict who is standing trial in another armed robbery case at Wa Circuit Court, where he is on court bail.

The service therefore added that there is a manhunt for the fourth suspect who is on his heel, a situation they called on Ghanaians to assist in, providing information of any suspicious person.

“There is a manhunt for the fourth suspect who escaped arrest. We are appealing to residents in the Wa West District and its environs to be on the lookout and report any badly wounded person for Police action.”

The statement also commended residents of Poyentanga and Samanbo for collaborating with the Police to arrest the suspects.
