Cynthia Mamle Morrison, the Member of Parliament for Agona West in the Central Region has donated 3,200 pieces of mathematical sets, sanitary pads and pens to this year’s Basic Education Examination Certificate (B.E.C.E) candidates in the area.

The donation formed part of measures to ensure that no candidate lacked basic learning inputs required for the examination.

Making the presentation through the District Director of Education, the MP said the gesture was in line with her avowed commitment towards the pursuit of quality education in the area.

She said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government through the Free Senior High School Programme had given all the Junior High School Pupils a level ground to progress into the next stage of their education.

Mr. Evans Onumah Coleman, Municipal Chief Executive commended the Municipal Directorate of Education, Circuit Supervisors, Headteachers and teachers as well as other educational stakeholders for their sacrifices towards quality education delivery in the municipality.

Receiving the items for onward distribution to the examination centres, Mr. Bismark Offei, the Municipal Director of Education, appealed to the candidates to eschew examination malpractices to avoid the cancellation of their papers.

The MP was accompanied by the NPP Constituency Executives, Ibrahim Mohammed, Kwame Adjei, Ben Takyi, and Frederick Boateng among others.
