The Ghana Education Service (GES) has set November 29, 2021 as date to begin the school selection process of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates into various senior high schools across the country.

The nationwide exercise, according to the GES, is expected to end on December 14, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations Unit, Mrs. Cassandra Twum Ampofo, in a statement issued on November 22, 2021 asked parents to be involved in the school selection process.

“Parents and guardians are particularly advised to take keen interest in the selection of schools processes to ensure a smooth placement year.”

The statement added that a short code would be made available as an opportunity for candidates to check and confirm their school choices before the main placement is done.

To this end, GES is noted that today, Tuesday November 23, 2021 it is organizing a sensitization drive ahead of the process among, parents, candidates, teachers and other stakeholders on the guidelines regarding the school selection process.

“Management wishes to inform all stakeholders to watch out for info graphics, short videos in the nine Ghanaian languages, flyers and physical presence of officers in all Districts, communities and schools to embark on the sensitization drive”
