The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested a suspected drug peddler at Gbetsile, a suburb of Accra for possessing 228 slabs of dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp.
The arrest was made on November 23, 2021 when some officers from the Service trailed the suspect, Haruna Iddrisu aged 36 years to his hideout.
The operation follows a tip off by the Greater Accra Regional Police that a “drug transporting syndicate who have been on the Police wanted list have managed to transport into Accra some substances suspected to be Indian Hemp.
