President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made a cash donation of GH₵1 million Ghana to reigning Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak.

The donation was done to the club on the afternoon of November 23, 2021 when they paid a courtesy call on the President where they presented the two trophies−Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup−they won last season.

It is aimed at supporting the team’s CAF Confederations Cup campaign as they prepare ahead of their upcoming play-off against Algerian side JS Soura.

Hearts were supposed to have met the President before their 110th birthday but the meeting was called of at the eleventh hour and rescheduled for Tuesday at the Jubilee House.

The players, technical team members and the hierarchy of Hearts of Oak were led to the Presidency by the Minister for Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif.
