Netizens are demanding a song from Sarkodie on the current economic hardship in the country.

The recent fuel hikes coupled with the introduction of new taxes have resulted in a strike by commercial drivers(trotro) which subsequently left passengers stranded at bus terminals and stations on Monday December 6,2021.

This and many other issues regarding Ghana’s economic status has made Netizens call for the rapper’s head because in the era of the former President John Dramani Mahama Sarkodie was forceful in his demand for the betterment of Ghana.

The rapper released tracks like ‘inflations’, ‘Masses’, ‘Dumsor’ to drive home the concerns of Ghanaians at the time.

However, since the NPP came into power, the award-winning rapper seems to have gone mute according to some of his fans who are gradually mounting pressure on Sarkodie to address the hardship in the country through his songs.

Reacting to Monday’s industrial action by drivers, Sarkodie posted that “The people are going through it!!! We always do!!! All we ask for is the right environment to hustle/be productive”.

Many still believe that his comments are not enough thus, some of his fans reacted to his post:

Friendly Match said, “No be u talk us say Nana Addo Toaso huh? NPP supported dey hide under dey come tweet wey condemnation no dey inside. Make u condemn and stop dey hide dey right things wey no get sense inside”.

KoBby commented, “So sake of he talk toase, he no fit reprimand Nana Addo? Way logic that?o

Moonbwoy wrote, “Talk About these in your music… Enough of the “I’m The Best”, I show You The Way, I got the keys To the cities”.

Blue Tafari also said, “Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t “.
