Ghallywood star Martha Ankomah has stated that she wishes she had supernatural powers like Hollywood’s superwoman to enable her solve the numerous problems bedeviling Ghana.

The actress, who doubles as a producer, noted that she feels disheartened when she sees students in deprived communities walking long distances to fetch unclean water for domestic purposes.

While speaking on Angel FM’s drive time show on Wednesday, Martha Ankomah revealed that anytime her foundation goes for an outreach programme, she sees students struggling to get potable water for drinking and other domestic purposes which sometimes affects their education.

I want to live forever because I have a lot of things to do and I wish I had the powers to do them. For example, I wish I were like superwoman or have the powers of spiderman as is portrayed in American movies to solve all problems.

Aside going to distribute books and educational materials to deprived students, I wish I had powers like superwoman to resolve water crisis and lessen the burden of these students. The water they fetch is very brownish and they have to use alum to purify it for hours, sometimes they don’t even drink water before leaving for school, she explained.

She added that being able to address the issue of ‘schools under trees’ is also another problem she desires to resolve.

Touching on her relationship with her parents, she disclosed that her mother is a ‘sweet’ wonderful person but she has a ‘tight’ relationship with her late father.
