A driver of a white Honda saloon vehicle with registration number GE-778-20, has been arrested for allegedly stealing five sheep at White Cross, near New Weija in the Weija- Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said the driver with his two accomplices broke into a nearby house where the sheep are reared and stole the five from the their pen on the dawn of Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

The eyewitness narrated further that the operation ended in a disaster after a security guard from a nearby company raised alarm causing residents to respond to the situation.

The residents in an attempt to stop the criminals, pelted the vehicle being used by the thieves with stones causing the driver to ram the car into a wall.
