A 26-year-old man called Benjamin Kwadwo Bandoh, popularly known as Coach, is in the grips of the Central East Police Command, for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old boy.

Both the suspect and the victim of the sexual abuse according to the Deputy Regional Police Commander, ACP Oduro Amaning, are residents of Adade Zion a suburb of Kasoa in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

He indicated that the Benjamin Kwadwo Bandoh manages a football team which trains young boys from the age of 10 to 15 years and among whom was the 13-year-old, who fell victim to his sexual advancement.

Narrating how they got wind of the offensive act, the Deputy Commander stated that the information reached his outfit by the child’s father upon which they acted leading to the arrest of the coach.

Meanwhile, urging parents to be actively involved in their children’s lives to protect them from harm’s way, ACP Oduro assured that his outfit has launched investigations into the alleged offensive act and would update the public on their findings in due course.

“Since this has to do with coach and football team, there is possiblity that the boy isn’t the only one victim. But we will investigate it and inform the public about our findings,” he said.
